In Loving Memory of Mary Webster…

We post this report to notify our Stakeholders, colleagues, partners and the general public regarding the tragic death of one of Precedo Healthcare’s Co-founders and biggest advocates – Mary Jane Webster.

Mary was involved in a collision on Sunday 31st January 2016. Another driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with Mary shortly after lunchtime on this day. Mary spent the next 7 weeks in intensive care recovering from significant brain trauma, a broken neck, pelvis and other injuries.

Mary was making good progress and showing every sign of making a good, perhaps a full recovery, Mary’s vital signs and levels of consciousness were improving but tragically, Mary suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday 20th March 2016 which Mary was unable to be revived from.

Mary was a kind, compassionate and loving lady who devoted her life to the Nursing Profession and to her family and friends. There is nothing that Mary wouldn’t have done for other people. Mary took great pride in her profession and was absolutely true to the term ‘Nursing Care’. Mary’s love was infectious, all that knew her, loved and respected her.

Mary was a born again Christian and also devoted her life to our Lord, Jesus Christ. We take comfort knowing that whilst Mary’s body is at rest, Mary’s spirit is dancing and singing with the Lord.

Mary’s body will be cremated on Friday 8th April 2016 at New Ollerton Crematorium. We will be holding a service at The Well (Baptist Church) in Retford also on Friday 8th April 2016 at 3pm. Mary was an active and passionate member of this Church for many years. Any well-wishers are very welcome to attend the Church service.

In remembrance of this dear, sweet and loving lady, we will be supporting a charity that the Baptist Church has strong ties with and works alongside. This incredible charity is called ‘Harvest Gardens’ and supports some of the worlds poorest people in becoming self-sustaining in terms of the crops they are able to grow and maintain.

Please visit for further information regarding this worthy cause.

Donations can be made by sending a cheque to: The Well, Retford Baptist Church & Community Centre, Hospital Road, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 7BD. Please make cheques payable to ‘Retford Baptist Church’. Please also note Mary’s name on the back of the cheque so that your kind donation can be identified and allocated in Mary’s remembrance. We will of course also have a collection at the Church Service on the 8th if you are in attendance.

Life as we know it is short and can be even shorter than expected. Don’t waste it, love it, embrace it, spread love and kindness – just as Mary did.
